Love Tarot: The 3-Card Spread That Reveals Your Relationship Future

The 3-card love spread

Most love readings either go too deep too fast (12 cards, an hour, you forget half of it) or stay way too shallow ("Is he thinking of me?"). The 3-card spread sits exactly in the middle — quick, but rich.

Here's how I do it for clients on a 30-minute chat session:

Position 1 — Where you are now

What the relationship actually is today. Not what you wish it was. Not what it was 3 months ago. The cold present.

Position 2 — What is hidden

The energy under the surface that's really driving the dynamic. Often something neither person is naming out loud — an unspoken fear, a buried hope, an external pressure.

Position 3 — Where it's heading (next 60–90 days)

Not a prediction of fate, but the trajectory if nothing changes. This is where you choose: ride it, or steer it.

Real example from a recent reading

My client (28, Bangalore) asked about her boyfriend of 2 years. She wanted to know if he was going to propose.

The cards landed:

  • Position 1: Two of Cups — Real bond, real love. Confirmed.
  • Position 2: The Hanged Man reversed — Hidden resistance to forward motion. Not lack of love — fear of commitment paperwork.
  • Position 3: The Star — Hope, healing, eventual yes.

My guidance to her: he loves you, the Two of Cups is unambiguous. But he's scared of "becoming his parents' marriage" and you're reading his hesitation as lack of feeling. Don't push for ring. Push for one open conversation about what marriage means to each of you.

They had the conversation. Three months later he proposed.

What this spread can't do

It cannot tell you who to fall in love with. It cannot make a wrong-fit person become the right fit. And it cannot move past your own clarity — the cards mirror what you already know but haven't admitted yet.

If you want to do this spread with me, a 30-minute chat or video session is exactly the right format. Bring one focused question. We'll do the spread, talk through what came up, and you'll leave with one specific action to take this week.
